Additional Equipment VAPORIZERS 205 Portable Catalyst Vaporizer
The Model 205 Portable Catalyst Vaporizer has been introduced to accommodate those foundries looking for an economical alternative to high pressure cylinders as a source of catalyst gas for cold box core processing. Design of the Vaporizer is based on the thermodynamic properties of the tertiary amines (T.E.A. and D.M.E.A.) commonly in use as catalysts or curing agents for cold box resin systems and is to be utilized strictly in conjunction with a Redford Catalyst Control System. In operation, the vaporizer tank is initially filled with a maximum of thirty (30) pounds (13.6 kg) of liquid amine. Heated carrier gas is then introduced into the tank where it is mixed with amine vapor generated by heating the liquid to a desired temperature. The mixture thus formed (of a mass concentration as defined by the operating temperature and pressure of the Vaporizer) is then fed to a recommended Catalyst Control System. Convenience, safety, and reliability have been primary considerations in the design. The unit is wheel mounted so that by merely disconnecting to mechanical connections and electrical power, the unit can be removed to a well ventilated area for refilling. There are no regulators, solenoid valves, pumps, or other moving parts in contact with the liquid amine. Next: CerJet Vaporizers |
