Pneumatic Sand Transporters

The Dependable units utilize air to move materials through pipe at an average velocity of 150 ft/min (45 m/min). Unlike other pneumatic transporters that blow material along in a loose mass at high speeds, the Dependaveyor and the Sandshot transporters pump material in a dense mass. This technique is made possible by a unique air introduction system and ultimately benefits the user with reduced air consumption, the elimination of boosters along the transport line, and the reduction of costly wear on pipe and pipe fittings.

DEPENDAVEYOR®
Dependaveyors are available in six vessel sizes to suit capacities from 5.7 to 87 Tons Per Hour (at a nominal distance of 100 feet). Transport distances up to 650 feet (200m) are common.

SANDSHOT
The smaller Sandshot (SS) models feature a lower inlet height which allows easier installation under shakeout or sand cooling equipment.

The compact, low-profile design with side mounted discharge allows installation in limited space locations or pits where other pneumatic transporters or elevators will not fit. Low inlet height allows convenient installation under shakeout or sand cooling equipment.

Three Sandshot models with a range of transport capacities up to 20 tons per hour have been designed specifically for foundry applications.

Simple Installation
Both Dependaveyors and Sandshots use schedule 40 pipe with standard flange couplings for low cost, easily installed transport lines. Systems are designed using a complete selection of components: bend fittings for a variety of angles, branch valves for multi-destination transport, and terminal boxes for end-of-line reception points.

Specially designed bend fittings incorporate a unique wear resistant pocket which uses the transported material itself to reduce wear and abrasion of the transport line. The vessels are free-standing and can be easily connected to transport pipe lines and plant air lines.

Units are shipped with prewired controls and a fully assembled pneumatic system for fast single day start-up. A semi-automatic control system operating with preset timers or a fully automatic control system responding to demand from level probes at reception points is available.

Dependaveyor and Sandshot are free-standing, making installation, inspection and maintenance easy. Options permitting use with hot sands (up to 800° F) are available upon request. Both can be equipped to transport reclaimed, new, or hot shakeout sands to multiple reception points indoors or outdoors.
